I am not receiving emails from my web forms

You are reading this article because 1. your email is NOT hosted on the same server as the web site and 2. you have a web site with email forms and when the form is completed they are not being received to your email address.

The most likely cause for this situation would be that your email form is working just fine, but does not know that it has to send the email to your remote email server so even though the email is being generated, its most likely being "lost" somwhere within the local web site server.

Its a common scenario on cpanel servers if the local DNS MX records are not being told where to send the emails it will try and deliver them locally and when it cant it just "blackholes" them.

Below is a screenshot of how the cpanel dns records should be configured if you have your web site on one server and your email on another.
