Backup Policy for Web Site Files

In order to ensure business continuity for our customers in the case of catastophic failure of our systems or an issue on the clients side, we make multiple backups of all web site files at varying intervals.

In short, we maintain full backups of your hosting account going back as far as 6 months.

It should be noted that we provide our backup service FREE of charge to our clients. Any customer wishing to retrieve a copy of a backup can request so free of charge and should raise a support request to

We perform the following backup jobs for our clients which are stored on an external backup array:

1. Daily Full Cpanel Backup
We conduct daily, overnight full cpanel backups which are kept for 14 days. The full cpanel backup is a copy of all web site files and databases. This backup is a full account restore file meaning that in the event of catastrophic failure, we can restore a hosting account to its previous state going back 14 days.

2. Daily Incremental Cpanel Backup
In addition to the daily full cpanel backup we conduct daily, incremental file backup of the full cpanel account and these backups go back 30 days. This is the full cpanel account including all files and database snapshots. The purpose of this backup is in the case a client requires a single file from a previous 30 day period we are able to meet that request and pull out a file or files from the incremental backup.

3. Weekly Full Cpanel Backup
Like the daily full cpanel backup, every sunday morning we will take a full cpanel backup and keep it for 4 weeks. This means at any one time we will hold a backup going back 4 weeks (previous 4 sundays).

4. Monthly Full Cpanel Backup
Like the daily and weekly full cpanel backup, the monthly backups are performed on the 1st and 15th day of each month. We retain weekly backups for minimum of 6 months which means that there will be at least 2 different monthly backups available to you going back 6 months for the 1st and 15th of that month.
